Accessibility at Wynston's

We want every guest — online and in person — to enjoy Wynston's just as easily as the next. That means a website you can actually use, a shop you can actually get into, and a team ready to help if something gets in the way.

Our commitment

We're working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA on wynstons.com. Accessibility isn't a one-and-done project — we audit, fix, and improve on an ongoing basis as the site evolves.

On the website, we aim to:

  • Use sufficient color contrast and readable type sizes
  • Support keyboard-only navigation
  • Provide alt text on images that carry meaning
  • Label form fields, buttons, and links clearly
  • Avoid auto-playing audio or motion that can't be paused
  • Keep page structure logical for screen readers and assistive tech

In our shops

Both Wynston's locations are ADA-accessible, with:

  • Step-free entrances and accessible restrooms
  • Clear paths through the dining area
  • Allergen and dairy-free (Hold the Cow) options clearly marked
  • A team trained to read the menu aloud, describe flavors, or help you order

If you need anything to make your visit easier, just flag a team member. We're happy to help.

Known limitations

We're an independent small business, and we don't pretend the site is perfect. We're actively working on:

  • Improving alt text across older blog posts and product photos
  • Tightening keyboard focus indicators in a few custom components
  • Adding captions to legacy video content

Tell us what we missed

If you run into an accessibility barrier on our website, in our emails, or in either of our shops, we want to hear about it.

Email: info@wynstons.com
Phone: (858) 923-1411
Mail: Wynston's Ice Cream Co., 250 North City Drive, Suite 7, San Marcos, CA 92078

We'll do our best to respond within 5 business days and provide the information or service you're looking for in an accessible alternative format.

Third-party tools

Parts of our site rely on third-party services (online ordering, embedded maps, payment processing). We choose accessible vendors when possible, but we don't control every aspect of how those tools render. If you hit a snag with one of them, let us know — we'll help you complete the same task another way.
