To everyone heading back to school this month — kindergarten through CSUSM, and the parents doing the driving — welcome back. We know the first few weeks are a lot: new schedules, new teachers, a backpack that already weighs more than it should. Our contribution is a September freezer built for the walk home, the post-practice detour, and the study break you've earned.
This month, you picked the lead. Biscoff Latte won the flavor vote by a clear margin — cookie butter and coffee, which is either study fuel or a reward for surviving drop-off, depending on which side of the carpool line you're on.
September's featured flavor: Biscoff Latte.
And it brought company. Four more of September's flavors came straight from the same vote, and Apple Sticky Bun rounds out the lineup for the first cool morning of the school year (whenever San Diego decides to have one).

Sometimes menu:
- Boozie Cookie Smores (fan voted) — roasted marshmallow goodness with chunks of chocolate chip cookies, a nip of bourbon, and a fudge swirl. A grown-up twist on the campfire favorite.
- Salty Swirls (fan voted) — our daughter Ella begged us to make this ice cream for a long time. It is tough for us to admit it now, but she was right. A smooth and slightly salty vanilla is paired with a swirl of creamy peanut butter.
- On Blueberry Hills (fan voted) — I found my thrill on blueberry hill. And that thrill is a blueberry ice cream with chunks of buttery pie crust. Like a blueberry pie all the mode, not just a la mode.
- Apple Sticky Bun — cinnamon bun ice cream with apple pie filling and a cinnamon brown sugar swirl.
- Circus Cookie — we paired those delicious little frosting-covered animal crackers with a cake batter ice cream. Creamy, sweet, and super delicious.
- Deconstructed Snickers — is there a better candy bar than a Snickers? This is an elevated take on that all-time classic. Nougat ice cream (the fluffy center of a Snickers), milk chocolate chips, peanuts, and a salted caramel swirl.
- There's a Turtle in My Brownie — all the decadence goes into this ice cream. Brownie batter ice cream, chunks of brownies, roasted and salted walnuts. Oh, and a caramel swirl of course.
Hold the Cow:
- Tiki Room (fan voted) — any Disney fans here? This one will remind you of a certain favorite pineapple treat. Great pineapple flavor, absolutely no dairy, light, delicious.
- Chocolate Almond — this ice cream starts with an almond base for a completely vegan flavor. Our pure dutch cocoa is added to create a combo flavor that is tough to beat. Smooth, creamy, everything you love in ice cream, just no dairy to worry about.
A note on timing
The new flavors trickle into the freezer over the first few days of the month — churning and freezing a fresh lineup isn't an overnight job. If you're driving in for something specific, check the current flavors page before you head over so you don't miss it.
